What This is All About

I created this website as an endeavor to help people who feel like they want to govern their thoughts and also to spread awareness about eating disorders and other mental illness. There is a silent war raging all around us- and the enemy is stealthy enough to imprison even the most innocent. For the enemy is within ourselves.
We are in the midst of one of the greatest terrors known to man. We are at war with our minds. Silent bullets hit the hearts of so many all around us- but the fallen are hidden behind the mask of their own faces. Unseen chains bind the thoughts of our brothers to dark empty places which are only an illusion of what seems appealing.
This blog is my attempt to warn others about the impeding danger, and to help those who feel as if they're losing the battle.

PLEASE join forces against these enemies of the mind- and spread awareness through sharing this blog with anyone you know.

Also, I hope you understand that publicly sharing my story and trying to help in this way is not easy for me- and is in no way an attempt to try to get the world to feel sorry for me. It is only a sincerely genuine desire to help others in this often rouged journey of life. I want to support the struggling, and help give hope to those burdened with these inner battles.

  1. You are a beautiful young woman Cassia. I have always admired your peaceful demeaner, your poise, and the light that always seems to shine in you. You are courageous and selfless to open yourself up for the benefit of making a difference in someone else's life. I have worked at the Utah State Mental hospital for the past 19 years. I have seen so many suffer with mental illness, eating disorders, depression, and addiction amongst other things. We are always our own worst critics, and never seem to be good enough for our own expectations. Sometimes leading our minds to battle with our body image, and then driving us to unhealthy habits (no matter the cost), just to have the body we hoped for, rather than accepting the beautiful and unique body that we were given. And sometimes, when life's challenges surround us, (without learned coping mechanisms), many resort to eating disorders as the only control that they have in their life. The irony being that, it's a perfect example of "lack of control." There is help. You can overcome these ailments, the battles, the torture that imprisons our inner self. It takes a lot of work, an open mind, an open heart, the desire to overcome, and the courage to ask for help. I have personally seen so many succeed. There are others going thru the same thing. You are not alone!!
